Things to do in Valdosta

Since the majority of our guest list is out of town, I am assuming that people will come down for more than a weekend. So, I am trying to think of things to do in Valdosta. Unfortunately for our guests, Valdosta is not a place with lots of amazing things to do. I will do my best to compile a list of the attractions around Valdosta, as well as restaurants, shopping, etc...

Basic Breakdown of Valdosta

Valdosta is essentially comprised of 2 main exits off of I-75: Exit 22 and Exit 18. Exit 22 will put you on North Valdosta Rd, which can take you to the Peterson house, as well as the Spychalski house, depending on which way you turn. The wedding venue is off of Exit 18, which is also where the hotel that we will block is. The hotel is literally across the driveway from the Venue.

Exit 22

There are two golf courses on this road which I will list below. Really close to Brian's house, there is a Walmart, a Dollar Tree, and a CVS.

As far as restaurants go, there two Waffle Houses, a Burger King, Zaxby's, Applebee's, Taqueria del SurEste, Rodeo's Mexican, El Toreo's Mexican, Mom and Dad's Charlie Trippers, Sonic, McDonalds, Wendy's, Subway, KFC, Vito's, Papa John's, and Domino's.

As far as fun stuff goes, pretty much the golf courses, and a mini golf course. Also, there is the Ashley Cinemas, which is a Dollar Theater.

Exit 18

There is a lot more on this exit, than on Exit 22. Shopping: the Colonial Mall Valdosta. The website is: http://www.shopvaldostamall.com/. There is a Target and a Publix. Down the street from the Hotel and Venue is a Walmart and a Sams Club.

Restaurants: Chili's, Locos, Ruby Tuesday (in the mall), Chik-fil-a, McDonalds, Wendy's, Fazoli's, Starbuck's, Denny's, Subway, Steak N Shake, Crystal River Seafood, Atlanta Bread Company, Beijing Cafe, Mori (Japanese), Tropical Smoothie, Moe's Southwest Grill and Charley O's (not to be confused with O'Charley's!!!).

Fun Stuff: Valdosta Stadium 16 Cinemas

Wild Adventures

This is a theme park that is just a few miles from Valdosta down I-75 off Exit 13. They have roller coasters, rides for kids, and an animal safari. They also have concerts of every variety: Christian, Country, R&B, etc... It is a neat place to go if you have kids or if you like roller coasters. I think they have 8 big coasters. It is basically a smaller version of Six Flags but with concerts in the evening. The website is: http://wildadventures.com/

Northlake Golf Course

This gold course is probably about 1/2 mile from Exit 22 off I-75. This is a public course, but you do need to make reservations 60 days in advance. They have 18 holes of golf, but you can do 9 if you want. Here is a website for this course: http://valdosta.golfnation.org/course246/northlake-golf-and-country-club

Stone Creek Golf Course

This golf course is just down the street from the Northlake Golf Course. Unfortunately, you have to be a member to golf here.
